Join Veterans Always Moving Forward (VAMF) for our Annual Veteran Dove Hunt, a weekend dedicated to camaraderie, outdoor adventure, and honoring those who have served. This special event brings together veterans from across the community for an unforgettable wingshooting experience in the heart of Texas dove country.

Set in Comanche, Texas, participants will enjoy a full weekend of hunting, fellowship, and great food while connecting with fellow veterans who share a passion for the outdoors and the military community.

We are selecting 20 veteran hunters to participate in this year's event.

Schedule

Friday, September 4

• Check-in after 1:00 PM

• Evening dove hunt

Saturday, September 5

• Full day of dove hunting

• Meals and camaraderie with fellow veterans

Sunday, September 6

• Morning hunt

• Departure by 12:00 PM

Participant Requirements

Participants are responsible for bringing:

• Valid Texas Hunting License and Migratory Bird Endorsement

• Signed liability waiver (provided at check-in)

• Shotgun (recommended; a limited number may be available)

• Ammunition, camouflage clothing, and bird vest

Lodging Information

Please note that lodging is not provided for this event. Several hotels, RV parks, and campgrounds are available nearby in the Comanche County area.

Cost

There is no cost to participate for selected veterans thanks to the support of our sponsors and partners.

Registration

Space is limited to 20 participants, and applications will be reviewed to ensure the opportunity reaches as many deserving veterans as possible.
